First Piece Auctioned (successfully)

My experience with auctioning my work was so far pretty lame. Well, at least until last Thursday.

First came “FUYU”, a piece which I liked a lot, that I auctioned and failed miserably. Not even one bid, not one. I ended up selling it to someone for 100 Kroner (if I recall correctly) which is around $17. I was happy that now someone else had it, that is to say, that it reached its final purpose.

Similarly, one of my prints was auctioned and sold in an event at the American Ambassador’s Residence. The auction started at 200 Kroner for most pieces. The piece I chose was a 21×29 (A4) print of Three Lamps. Paspartout’ed and framed. Sold to someone – sorry, I can’t remember the name! – for 650 Kroner, that is $113. Not bad.

I had a few “custom orders” and I sold several works in the past, but having my piece auctioned is different, and not to mention the high price.

The piece was in fact donated for the auction, that is to say that I haven’t seen a single krone out of it, although I did get to eat some Pizza and hang out with a bunch of old drunk people. My type of fun. (Note: I’m not referring to anybody)

So, I’m hoping for some more auctions, orders and exhibitions.

Snow!

Oh, look, it’s snowing.

Just as I began to think that global warming was really starting to show, it began to snow early this morning.

Funny. Last year (and the year before?) it was already snowing back in December, I recall. Though I could be wrong. I don’t know.

So what I’m really looking forward to seeing Fældeparken begin to fill up with snow, until eventually, giving me the shot that I’ve been waiting for 8 months. Now I just need a model.

It’s the same problem all over again, great idea for a movie though not actors; great idea for a shot though no models. If only I had someone who was willing to do those things..

Well, I’ll check next week what it’s like over there, bring my tripod and I guess at the worst case, photograph myself.

I’m on YouTube

Finally.

Not that it was hard or anything, just couldn’t be assed to do it. Too lazy, too much to do, etc.

Well, so anyway, now you get to see some of my movies, and hopefully I’ll be able to get my other movie, “The Pattern Movie” on, but so far just two.

The first is The Job, which was actually my first movie to begin with. The second is The Yellowest Days of our Lives.

I’m recruiting actors for my next movie, so stay tuned. If you’re willing to volunteer, please do. I’m about five actors short, so. This one’s big.
Have fun!

Update: The Job appears to have been uploaded incorrectly, I’ll fix it as soon as I get home. (Strange, because I used the exact same settings on both of them)
