I came across a very useful essay online tonight, and I thought I’d share it with you guys.

Basically, it’s extremely useful if you’ve got long hair, but haven’t had long hair for your whole life (which mostly applies to men though).

However, I do believe that trimming is necessary, and the essay basically goes about telling you not to do it. I used to think that up until recently, but I’m not sure about it anymore.
